![]() You're going to wish you did it differently after you finally do. You're going to get stuck at figuring out the directory structure. So my advice is if you want to read them, then read them, but if you're looking to improve your skills start building something. The scopes and closures book really hit home and gave me a really good understanding of them because I could relate what I was reading to problems I had encountered already. I also realized though, that without having the context of having made a lot of mistakes in my work I don't think I would've gotten as much out of them. I work on the front end for an internal app my company uses and after the first year I found the you don't know js series. I'm completely self taught and I've been programming on and off for as long as I can remember really but just started doing it professionally 2 years ago. I don't really know where I fall on the spectrum from novice to advanced.
